Welcome. These terms govern your use of CompassLeo — the website at compassleo.com, the iOS and Android apps, and the email digests. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service. Questions: support@lucidconceptions.com.

1. The service

CompassLeo is a personalized opportunity-discovery agent for creative-field students and early-career professionals. It scans third-party sources, ranks results against your stated profile and goals, and delivers a small daily set of picks.

The picks are recommendations. We do not host the underlying events or guarantee their accuracy, availability, or quality — we link out to the source. Verify dates, locations, eligibility, and cost on the source site before you act.

2. Account eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CompassLeo. If you’re under 18, your parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials private and for everything that happens under your account.

3. Free trial and subscription

Length: 1 month, recurring
Price: $14.99 USD (or local-currency equivalent set by Apple, Google, or Stripe)
Free trial: 7 days, one per Apple ID / Google account / Stripe customer

Payment is charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then. The subscription auto-renews each month at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewals continue until you cancel.

How to cancel:

iOS: Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions → CompassLeo → Cancel.
Android: Google Play Store → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CompassLeo → Cancel.
Web: Settings → Manage subscription, or sign in to Stripe’s billing portal via the link we email after purchase.

Refunds are handled by the platform you purchased through (Apple, Google, or Stripe), per their own refund policies. We can’t issue refunds for App Store / Play Store purchases ourselves — you must request them through the platform.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our prompts, source list, or ranking logic;
Use the service to harass, defame, or impersonate others;
Upload content that infringes someone else’s rights or that you don’t have permission to share;
Submit fake or AI-generated profile data with the intent of gaming the agent;
Resell, sublicense, or rebrand CompassLeo without a written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice for serious violations.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your resume, your portfolio photos, your captions, your profile data. By uploading, you give us a limited license to store and process it for the sole purpose of running the service for you. We do not use your content to train models, sell to third parties, or display it to anyone else.

6. Our content

The CompassLeo software, design, prompts, and brand assets are ours. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use them as the service intends. You don’t get a license to copy, redistribute, or create derivative works.

Items in your daily picks include short summaries, source URLs, and a one-sentence “why it matters” written by our agent. The summaries are CompassLeo content; the underlying events belong to their respective organizations.

7. Third-party services

CompassLeo uses Anthropic Claude for AI processing, Resend for email, RevenueCat / Apple App Store / Google Play / Stripe for billing, OpenStreetMap and US Census for geocoding, and DigitalOcean for hosting. Their terms apply to the parts of the service they handle. See the privacy policy for what each receives.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the picks will be relevant, that the source links will work, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that the AI will always behave correctly.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompassLeo’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $50 USD. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost opportunities, missed events, or career outcomes.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the /account page. We can terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms or if running the service for you becomes infeasible. On termination, your access stops, but deletion of your data follows the schedule in the privacy policy.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we’ll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date counts as acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
